FCGB vs ASSE line-ups
Evan Chevalier, 19 years old midfielder from Bordeaux academy. He’s been having a great season with CFA 2 side and so Jeannot decided to call him up for the senior squad. A bunch of our players are set to miss the game due to injury setbacks or suspension…
I don’t think I’ll even bother giving the 411 on today’s unravellings. I’m sure you all know.
Apologies if I break any dashboards tonight, btw.
PSG - Bordeaux. (21:00 CET)
Carrasso, Olimpa - Chalmé, Ciani, Sané, Savic, Trémoulinas, Marange - Diarra, Fernando, Gourcuff, Plasil, Wendel, Sertic, Ducasse - Gouffran, Jussiê, Modeste, Saivet.
Injured: Ramé, Keita, Henrique, Planus, Traoré, Ayité, Cavenaghi, Diabaté. Choix de l’entraîneur: Lasne, Saunier, Bellion.
Cavé injured, don’t know why. Sertić and Saivet in! Reduced number of attaquants in comparison with the first two matches. Here’s hoping there won’t be much trouble at Parc des Princes, in more ways than one…
Bordeaux - Toulouse. (17:00 CET)
86% - Toulouse have lost 12 of their last 14 trips to Bordeaux in Ligue 1. Derby. (optajean)

Mathieu Valverde will be in goal for Toulouse against the team he started at. Now, I think I should justify why I always go on about him. He isn’t the greatest of goalkeepers, but I miss his face at Bordeaux. and his voice. and his enthusiasm about his guitar lessons. Female football fans are allowed to be shallow once in a blue moon.
Team news: Olimpa, Andrietti – Chalmé, Sané, Savic, Trémoulinas, Marange – Diarra, Fernando, Gourcuff, Ducasse, Plasil, Wendel – Bellion, Cavenaghi, Gouffran, Jussiê, Modeste.
Suspensions: Carrasso, Ciani, Henrique. Injured: Ramé, Keita, Planus, Diabaté.
Choix du manager: Lasne, Saunier, Sertic, Traoré, Ayité, Saivet.
- Interesting to see what role Modeste will play tomorrow.
- Those left out - so we know Lasne, Saunier, Traoré are due to be loaned. Obviously I dislike Sertić being left out again. But at the same time, the midfield is pretty stable as it is. He would come in for Gourcuff/Plašil, I just want him to be on the bench at least. I just find it a shame as he was due to ‘break out’ this year. Would he be added to the loan list? Wouldn’t mind him doing a Ducasse actually, if it comes to that. But I know, early days.
Squad numbers for this (FINALLY can say this word!) season:
1 Cédric CARRASSO 2 Michaël CIANI 3 Carlos HENRIQUE 4 Alou DIARRA 5 Fernando MENEGAZZO 6 Grégory SERTIC 7 Yoan GOUFFRAN 8 Yoann GOURCUFF 9 Fernando CAVENAGHI 10 Ferreira Vieira JUSSIÊ 11 David BELLION 12 Paul Bastien LASNE 14 Floyd AYITE 15 Vujadin SAVIC 16 Ulrich RAME 17 Geraldo Silva WENDEL 18 Jaroslav PLASIL 19 Pierre DUCASSE 20 Henri SAIVET 21 Matthieu CHALME 23 Florian MARANGE 24 Abdou TRAORE 25 Cheikh Tidiane DIABATE 26 Matthieu SAUNIER 27 Marc PLANUS 28 Benoît TREMOULINAS 29 Lamine SANE 30 Kevin OLIMPA 40 Abdoulaye KEITA
those who know this blog well will know what irks me about this list. hazard a guess if you wish. and it’s not really to do with Chamakh. shock horror.

Just not converting anything nowadays.
(lol at the fouls.)
Bordeaux have lost their last 3 league games, their worst run since May 2002.
- Blanc says he’s to bring ‘new blood’ against Lyon, need some fresh input into the team; call upon young’uns? Who? Giving the non-regulars a chance against Le Mans didn’t bring about success…qu’est qu’on fait?
- Carrasso and Planus injured again, Gourcuff and Diarra should be back. Thankfully; ‘63% - Bordeaux’s ratio of wins when Yoann Gourcuff starts a game in the league this season compared to 29 % the rest of the time. Key.’ - from optajean.
- L’Équipe said this morning Blanc to be announced as French NT coach at the end of May.
- Laurent rubbishes this after training, and says the focus right now is to finish as best as possible. (title is Marseille’s to lose? yeah.) Top three finish, COME ON.
- Triaud said Blanc is to stay.
Lyon on Saturday. Let’s do this.
